A young woman and an inspirational mom of two has opened up about the heartbreak she suffered when she was abandoned by her ex-boyfriend after falling pregnant.

25-year-old Maia Knight from New York is a single mom of two young daughters who was left in shock when she found out she was expecting twins back in 2020.

At the time, Maia was dating a young man who told her to get an abortion and stop talking to him after she went to see her OB-GYN and found out she was seven weeks pregnant.

“I randomly decided to take a pregnancy test one morning before heading to work. It was positive,” the young woman, who has millions of followers on TikTok, explained.

“I scheduled an appointment with my OB and found out I was 5 weeks pregnant with twins. After telling him, he told me to get an abortion and to stop contacting him when I was 7 weeks pregnant.

“I moved in with my mom and kept my pregnancy a secret from the world and sank into a deep depression so scared of how I was going to be a single mom to two little girls.”

Maia went on to say that she was admitted to the hospital at her 34th week of pregnancy after her OB found out she had preeclampsia.

“I started having contractions, went into heart failure, and was taken by ambulance to a hospital three hours away,” she added.

Fortunately, Maia’s baby girls were born healthy though they needed to spend several weeks in the NICU because they were born prematurely.

Now, all of her fears have dissipated and the mom can no longer imagine her life without her precious daughters.

“I had two AMAZING little girls that are my best friends and realized I could do this. I had my family and my friends to support me. All my dreams are coming true,” Maia concluded.
