In February last year, the NFL quarterback first announced his retirement but decided to come back only one month later.

Taking to Twitter, he said at that time: “These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now.”

Brady’s post continued: “I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business.”

During his career, he played for the New York Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, getting seven Super Bowl win.

Now, he wants to end his career as the NFL’s all-time leader in touchdown passes (649) and passing yards (89.214).

In a video shared online, he announced his retirement for the second time.

“Good morning guys. I’ll get to the point right away. I’m retiring. For good,” he began.

“I know the process was a pretty big deal last time so when I woke up this morning I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.

“Won’t be longwinded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay and I used mine up last year,” he joked.

The 45-year-old continued: “So really thank you guys so much, to every single one of you for supporting me.

“My family, my friends, teammates, my competitors, I could go on forever, there are too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing. Love you all.”
