The 74-year-old singer has been struggling with mobility and has often been spotted getting around using a wheelchair or a cane.

It was in 2003 when he suffered a bike crash that left him requiring metal rods in his back. He was then diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease but did not go public about his condition until 2020.

The Black Sabbath frontman suffered a fall in 2019 that required him to undergo another spinal surgery.

In an interview with Rolling Stone UK, Ozzy has revealed that he was left ‘virtually crippled’ after his surgery went ‘drastically wrong.’

“I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one they put a f–king rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out too,” he expressed.

The singer also shared what he told his wife, Sharon. “’At best, I’ve got 10 years left and when you’re older, time picks up speed.’”

Ozzy also said that he’s not scared of death but does not want his final years to be ‘a long, painful and miserable existence.’

“I like the idea that if you have a terminal illness, you can go to a place in Switzerland and get it done quickly. I saw my father die of cancer,” he went on.

In an interview with Daily Mail, Sharon opened up about Ozzy’s health and revealed that he is no longer ‘self-sufficient.’

“For nearly five years my husband’s been really sick. Relationships change all the time, as we change. We’re at a stage where I’ve been taking care of my husband, not because I have to but because I want to and I love him,” she said.
