Pamela Anderson captured the attention of the crowd and made headlines after she appeared without makeup at Paris Fashion Week.
The star, who was well-known for her iconic glamorous appearance, left fans shocked when she arrived at the event where she confidently showed off her natural beauty.
She has now taken to X (formerly Twitter) and explained that she is now turning over a new leaf.
In a heartfelt post on the social media platform, she wrote: “I’m in the phase of ‘accept me as I am.’ The world feels new once again…”
Speaking about the reason why she decided to let go of her glamorous appearance, she revealed a personal story behind her transformation.
In an interview with Elle, she said that her decision was influenced by the passing of her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who died from breast cancer in 2019.
“She was the best,” she expressed. “And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”
Anderson said that the move was ‘freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious.”
Her memoir Love, Pamela, which was released this year, has given fans a new perspective on the actress.
She told Elle: “I get a lot of people walking up to me on the street, saying, ‘I had no idea who you were, and I’m sorry for all the ways I thought about you before because I like you now.’ I’m just like, ‘What did you think of me before?’
“You don’t really think about it in the moment. You’re raising two kids, you’re trying to survive, your heart is broken, you’re trying to fill up your life with people and making mistakes. We’re all just trying to live every day.”
She added: “So, I guess, decades got away from me. And it was nice to come home, full circle. I’m working more than ever, when I thought I was retired!”
