Paris Hilton has shared how she was left heartbroken by the cruel remarks made about the appearance of her son.
The 42-year-old socialite and her husband Carter Reum welcomed their first child, Phoenix, on January 25.
Sharing a heartwarming photo of her baby’s fingers wrapped around hers, the mom wrote: “You are already loved beyond words.”
Hilton previously told People that it was her ‘dream’ to become a mother.
“It’s always been my dream to be a mother, and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together, and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy,” she expressed.
While many shared messages of love and support, others were making negative comments about her son’s appearance.
Sharing her heartbreak over the hurtful remarks, Hilton said in an interview with People on Tuesday: “I couldn’t believe that they could be mean and vicious about a little innocent baby.
“You can say what you want about me, but this is my little angel. And if anyone ever says anything to hurt him or his feelings, I will always be there to protect him.”
The media personality usually ignores hateful comments but she didn’t want to stay silent when it was her son who was being targeted by trolls.
“I was just heartbroken that there are such cruel people in the world,” she said.
Hilton also thanked her fans for their unwavering support. “It makes me feel so grateful knowing that there’s so many people in the world that love and support me,” she continued.
Speaking about the positive comments and encouragement from her fans, she said: “I’ve just been reading all the messages from people saying how much they love Phoenix and how beautiful he is and to not listen to the trolls.
“So anyone reading this, thank you so much. I really, really appreciate everyone looking out for us.”
