A man who was traveling on a Delta Airlines flight was left with a destroyed laptop after the passenger in front of him reclined their seat and destroyed his screen.
Taking to Twitter, Pat Cassidy called out Delta Airlines after his laptop screen got damaged after the person in front of him reclined their seat.
Sharing a photo of his Mac, Cassidy wrote: “small note for the suggestion box, maybe have a little warning sign or someway to prevent my laptop from being destroyed when the person in front of me reclines their seat.”
The 37-year-old podcast host and film producer also wrote in another Twitter post: “Also, this one is more of a critique than a suggestion.
“I really appreciate that your flight attendant came over to tell me that the passenger in front of me ‘needs to be able to recline’ and then asked him ‘if he was okay?’ as if your seat hadn’t just ruined my livelihood.”
After making complaints, Cassidy wrote that nothing had been resolved and that he was not offered a replacement laptop.
When asked by a follower if he got a new laptop, he replied: “Nah… Someone from corporate called me, but when I called back I couldn’t get through to anyone. Still no warning on the seat backs. Sad.”
According to CNN, there is a decline of reclining airplane seats as more and more models do not have that option anymore.
According to the news outlet, reclining seats places an additional cost as the function requires extra parts that a regular seat doesn’t need.
In addition, reclining seats add extra weight to the aircraft and any weight that can be saved can greatly reduce fuel expenses.
