A couple who shared the name they picked for their baby boy have been slammed on social media as people could not believe what they were seeing.
Choosing a name for your baby can be exciting and daunting at the same time as your child will have to carry it for the rest of their life.
But viewers were quick to criticize a couple who shared a photo of their son with the name that they have chosen for their little one.
Posting a photo of their son, the couple captioned their post: “Little Baby Fart, such a mischief maker!”
The picture also showed that their baby’s name was called Pheart.
Viewers were baffled by the parents decision to give that name to their son, with one person saying: “I genuinely cannot figure out how this came to pass.”
Another said: “Maybe its pronounced ‘furt’ or ‘fay-art’ or even like ‘fair-t.’”
Someone else wrote: “I audibly laughed. Id be unable to call this baby fart without dying laughing. Think of teachers, nurses etc.”
Another added: “That is so cruel. So cruel.”
Others were trying to understand the parents, with one person saying: “The Parents, probably-it’s pronounced Heart. The p is silent,” to which another Reddit user replied: “Silent, but deadly.”
Another commented: “Maybe intended to be one of those ‘the P is silent’ words, like pneumonia or pterodactyl, and the parents not knowing that PH usually is read as F.”
Many debated whether English was the parents’ first language and whether the error many have lasting effect on their child.
