JUST IN: ‘Peter Pan’ Star Makes HISTORY As First Actor With Down’s Syndrome To Play Major Role In A Disney Movie


A 15-year-old Peter Pan & Wendy star is making history as he becomes the first actor with Down’s Syndrome to play a major role in a Disney film.

Noah Matthews Matofsky landed the role of Lost Boys leader Slightly in the 2023 movie, which is a highly-anticipated remake of the 1953 animated Disney.

It follows the story of a flying boy, Peter Pan, and his adventures in Neverland with fairy Tinkerbell and lost children.

In an interview with The Sun, Matofsky said that Jude Law – who stars as Captain Hook – ensured thy all enjoyed their time on set and even gave them ice creams.

“One of my favorite days was when Jude hired an ice cream van and brought it on set, then served us ice creams himself,” he said.

“It was an amazing experience, I had my own trailer and made lots of fantastic friends. We all learned sword fighting, which I loved.”

Matofsky also said that he had an enjoyable experience even though he had to learn many lines.

“I had lots of lines to learn very quickly, but it was exciting and I really enjoyed it,” he expressed.

The teen revealed that he had discovered Disney was casting for the movie through Zebedee, an inclusive talent agency.

He then sent an audition tape before meeting with film director David Lowery.

Matofsky also told reporters that one of his dreams is to go to drama college and become a role model for people with Down’s Syndrome.

He also said he does not believe the condition should hold anyone back, advising others that ‘you can do anything’ and that they should ‘always dream big.’
