A woman who sold her house to pay for her plastic surgery has spoken out and defended the decision that forced her to move into a van.
50-year-old Kelly Beasley from Marana, Arizona, believes she looks better than ever after spending a small fortune on plastic procedures in the last two decades.
While fillers for a long time played a role in her life, Kelly recently made a move to undergo a face and neck lift to cut years off her appearance. She was shocked, however, when she was told by plastic surgeons in the US that she needed to save up to $60,000 for her desired transformation.
Since getting hands on that much money was not an option, Kelly eventually found the group EOC which specialized in organizing cosmetic procedures abroad.
“I like to look nice. Around 48, my face started dropping fast. The changes were astounding and fillers were not going to make a difference,” the woman explained.
“I saw a lady on TikTok talking about plastic surgery. I was astounded by her results. She had it down in Tijuana in Mexico. I wasn’t sure but I didn’t completely dismiss it. She said she had it for $14,000 – I was blown away.”
At the time, Kelly put up her 3-bedroom Arizona house for sale to use part of the funds as a “cushion” to pay for her own transformation in Mexico.
The time for a four-hour surgery then arrived, and doctors took fat from Kelly’s thighs to put it in her lips and the rest of her face. She later stayed at a nearby hotel for a week where she continued her recovery and celebrated the “natural” result of the procedure.
“Your brain is having a hard time adjusting to your face. I would look different from mirror to mirror. Now I absolutely love it. I’m having fun putting on makeup again,” she added.
“Before I hadn’t been liking putting make-up on. My eyes were heavy and putting on eyeliner wouldn’t look right.”
Despite being forced to sell her home to realize her dreams – and now living in a van as a result – Kelly insists she has no regrets.
“Plastic surgery is shamed. If we do too much – we’re vain or insecure. If you don’t do anything, wear make up or do your hair, they say ‘you’ve let yourself go.’ It’s exhausting,” she concluded.
“I’m going to do what I want to do. Why not live the most fabulous life? Part of that for me is having plastic surgery.”
