The Prince of Wales feels hurt as he sees his wife being ‘hounded like his mother Princess Diana was,’ a royal expert claimed.
Royal editor Roya Nikkhah appeared on Good Morning Britain and discussed the theories on social media surrounding Kate Middleton’s health after she underwent a ‘planned abdominal surgery’ in January.
“Having seen his mother go through quite a lot of that, the hounding of his mother, I think he feels he is seeing elements of that being breached again in terms of the demands and screeches at his wife over her medical privacy and that is hurting him,” Nikkhah said.
When asked by host Susanna Reid if Prince William feels ‘sensitive’ about the similarities, the royal editor replied: “He always has been, ever since he has been a child and since he has been with Catherine since university.”
Nikkhah also revealed that Kate could talk about her condition during her public engagements next month.
“I think she is going to be much more open about what’s happened, I think she will do it in a natural organic way like on an engagement,” the royal expert said.
“We have seen William at engagements in the past few weeks and everyone is asking him how is Kate, saying please give these flowers to your wife.”
The future Queen is not expected to return to frontline duties until April 17, when her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis go back to Lambrook School.
