A man who got ‘married’ to a rag doll is reportedly feeling distraught after his wife suddenly “fell ill” for unknown reasons.

Cristian Montenegro from Bogota, Colombia, previously hit the headlines after revealing he got married to a rag doll and claiming the pair had welcomed a rag doll ‘baby’ as a result of their union.

Now, a video showing Cristian tending to his wife, Natalia, and breaking into tears in the back of an ambulance has gone viral.

In the clip, the young man is heard asking the paramedics to save his wife while the rag doll is stretched out on the bed.

“She had a headache and fainted. I called you because I don’t want her to die, she is the mother of my daughter. Everything will be fine, my love,” the upset husband explained.

Responding while seemingly struggling to hold back his laughter, the paramedic said: “We are going to take her to the hospital, and make sure that she is well, I’m going to take her vitals.”

After the news went viral, thousands of Cristian’s fans reached out to the couple to send them their wishes and prayers for Natalia’s recovery.

“What happened to Natalia?” one viewer pondered.

“I hope Natalie gets well soon,” another said.

A third wrote: “Praying for your family and for Natalia’s swift recovery.”

Cristian and Natalia began dating some time ago after the man allegedly grew tired of being single for years.

“If it weren’t for the dolls, I would be more alone than anyone. At least I have something,” he previously said as he defended his unusual relationship.

“With my Natalia, we watch TV and talk about everything. They don’t know how much I love her.”
