A furious husband has revealed that his wife was also mad at him as he refused to talk to her after she lost her wedding ring.
He also explained that his wife failed to tell him about the missing jewelry and only learned about it from their children.
Posting on Reddit, the fuming dad wrote: “She took it off during her weekly martial arts class. Didn’t look for it until she got home, found out the ring must have fallen out of her training bag somewhere between the gym and home.”
The husband said that his wife did not inform him that she had lost her ring.
“She’d come home while I was getting dinner ready and went straight to have a shower,” he went on.
When their children told him that their mom had lost her ring, he started searching for the jewelry, checked the car and even removed the contents of her training bag but the ring was nowhere to be found.
“I didn’t say anything at dinner. She didn’t say anything either. We both went to bed without speaking,” he continued.
When they woke up the following morning, the husband said that he made lunch boxes for their kids and got ready for work. His wife asked him what was wrong and he said that he was upset about the ring.
Reddit users were divided, with many saying that the husband was overreacting and urged him to put himself in his wife’s shoes.
One person commented: “Yes, the ring is special, you can feel upset about it, but how do you know your wife doesn’t also feel really bad about it?”
Another wrote: “This was an honest accident, she didn’t mean to lose it. Her reluctance to bring up the subject with you suggests she knew you’d react badly, and you have.”
