Having a baby changes your life in more ways than you could imagine.

Once your baby arrives, it is no longer about you. This beautiful, tiny human, who sees you as the sun, the stars, and the moon, will demand all of your time that you will no longer have time for yourself.

One mom took to Mumsnet and expressed her regret about having a baby because she misses her ‘old and peaceful’ life.

“My baby is ten months old. I love her more than anything in the world,” she wrote. “I constantly worry about something bad happening to her. She is a lovely, bright, happy, sweet, and quite an independent child.”

Even though she loves her baby, she doesn’t like not being able to just relax and do nothing all day.

“I just can’t shake the feeling that I regret having her. I just want to go back to my old life. I had a quiet, peaceful, unexciting life, and that’s what I like,” she went on.

The mother-of-one explained that she is introverted and she was contented working from home, watching movies in the evening, and walking in the nature.

But everything that she enjoyed are ‘obviously all gone now’ and she wrote how she didn’t like parenting.

“I think it’s mainly the constant sense of responsibility, constantly having to entertain a baby, never being able to just sit and relax and do nothing all day, always having to be on alert,” she added.

The mother was left wondering if things would get better or if she would always regret the loss of her old life.

Fellow parents were quick to give show some support, with one person writing: “Someone told me once they hit two it suddenly becomes easier and I have definitely found that.”

Another said: “Once you don’t have to watch every single thing they do, and they actually want to do quite fun things with you, it definitely gets better.”

A third said: “It’s all part of parenting, you learn to take it in your stride as they get older that said they do get better at entertaining themselves.”
