Seinfeld star Peter Crombie has died at the age of 71 after battling an illness.
The heartbreaking news of his passing was announced by his ex-wife, Nadine Kijner. Sharing a series of photos from their wedding day, she took to Instagram and said: “It is with shock and extreme sadness that I share my Ex-husband died this morning.
“Thank you for so many wonderful memories and being such a good man.”
Kijner continued: “Fly free into the Un-boundless source of light, Peter. May you be greeted with love by your parents, and Oliver. So so many people loved you because you were a kind, giving, caring, and creative Soul,”
She also mentioned that Crombie had battled an illness before he passed away but she did not provide further details about the condition.
Kijner remembered the actor as a generous and kind man who was adored by everyone around him.
Crombie played Crazy Joe Davola in the hit TV series Seinfeld. His character was known for his weird behavior, adding tension to the show and unforgettable moments of fun.
He also appeared on several TV shows such as NYPD Blue, Law & Order, L.A. Firefighters, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Picket Fences.
The iconic star also had roles in movies like The Doors, Natural Born Killers, Born on the Fourth of July, and Se7en.
His last credited role was in 2000 when he played the role Detective Moody in Walker, Texas Ranger.
One fan wrote: “Oh no, RIP . Crazy Joe Devolla was a great, funny character. Seinfeld is indeed the best comedy show of all times.”
