Simon Cowell has left fans stunned with his ‘new look’ when he appeared on stage at the Royal Variety Performance.
The 64-year-old is known for his signature look, which consists of a plain t-shirt, high-waisted jeans, and shoes.
But on December 17, viewers were shocked when the TV star appeared on the Royal Variety Performance in the UK to introduce the winner of Britain’s Got Talent.
Simon took to the stage and introduced comedian Viggo Venn, who performed alongside stars including Rick Astley, Mel C from the Spice Girls, and Cher.
But fans were left distracted as Simon sported a pair of orange-tinted sunglasses and many noticed his uncanny resemblance to another star.
“The best thing about making Britain’s Got Talent is, it’s fun,” Simon said.
“We see the most amazing people every year. In my opinion, we have the best prize in the world, which is to perform in front of the Royal Family.”
The music mogul continued: “I can honestly say I’ve never seen an act like this before. He won the show and I can officially say, I now love you Viggo.
“I have no idea what he’s going to do tonight. Please welcome the incredible Viggo and in his words, one more time.”
But viewers were quick to mention that Simon looked like the late Wham! Star George Michael, who was also known for sporting tinted sunglasses.
One viewer commented: “Oh wow Simon Cowell has turned into George Michael.”
Another said: “Thought it was a George Michael tribute act when I looked up.”
A third said: “Simon Cowell with his best George Michael impression.”
Simon’s different look has also come from the fact that he managed to lose 20lbs after changing his lifestyle following a back injury in 2020.
Reports said that he was bedbound for six months after crashing his e-bike at his home in Malibu.
