Taylor Swift was left stunned and speechless after a very warm reception from Australians during her performance at Accor Stadium on Saturday night.
The singer clutched her chest and said ‘Oh my god’ following a four-minute standing ovation after she performed Champagne Problems.
It took the You Belong With Me hitmaker some time to calm her fans and she seemed shocked, telling the crowd they ‘won’ when it comes to standing ovations.
After a long pause, Swift said: “You guys are on another level. You are wild Sydney!”
She added: “You’re a crowd I dreamed of having as a child.”
The singer seemed to be in high spirits as she appeared on the stage even though her boyfriend Travis Kelce flew back to Las Vegas to continue celebrating with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates.
The Chiefs right end landed in Australia on Wednesday and watched one of her shows. On Friday, he received a warm welcome from Swifties at Accor Stadium.
One video shows Kelce smiling while trading friendship bracelets with Swift’s fans while in another, he can be seen waving at excited fans who were screaming as he passed by.
The couple also enjoyed a romantic date at Sydney Zoo, a move that was slammed by animal rights organization PETA.
In a statement, the organization said: “’While we understand all too well the appeal of seeing Australia’s wildlife, PETA hopes that next time Taylor and Travis want to see wild animals, they’ll spend their time and money at a true sanctuary.”
According to reports, Kelce has arrived in Las Vegas, arriving in Sin City where he is believed to party again with Patrick Mahomes and their fellow teammates following their historic Super Bowl victory.
