A teenage girl who got married and fell pregnant by the age of just 19 has hit back at her critics who told her she had ruined her life.
19-year-old Louise Kilic from the UK sparked a divisive social media debate after revealing she married her boyfriend from Turkey amid their long-distance relationship.
The young lady went viral after sharing a post in which she unveiled her new surname as she proudly showed off her wedding ring.
Louise also hit back at her critics – who include her relatives and friends – as she said she was happy to become a wife and mother at a young age because she loves settling down more than partying.
“You’re going to regret getting married at 19 and settling down with kids,” someone told the teenager only for the 19-year-old to hit back saying: “Regret what? Being loved by the same man for the rest of my life? Or regret growing our own family.”
Defending her decision to start her own family at an age that is deemed ‘too young’ by many in the modern world, she continued:
“Or regret bringing our first baby girl into this world together? I don’t know how anyone else feels, but I would rather this life than a party life.”
In another video, Louise also explained how she met her boyfriend while admitting they are currently still in a long distance relationship.
“I met my man in summer last year, we kept our relationship to ourselves for months before announcing it,” she added.
“Then [after] a couple of months of being with each other he asked me to marry him and now I’m carrying his first child. We have got each other for life.”
Louise’s viral posts were met with mixed responses. While some viewers congratulated her on getting pregnant and applauded her for being brave enough to start her own family at a young age, others suggested the relationship would fail because they were both still too young and inexperienced.
