A husband has shared how his wife refused to talk to him after he took over the bed so he could rest while she slept on the floor without pillows and blankets.
Believing he was not the one in the wrong, he posted his story on Reddit and explained that his wife just gave birth to their daughter two months ago.
“She strictly breastfeeds, do as you can imagine, she gets far less sleep than I do,” he wrote.
The father explained that he helps with changing and holding their baby but all the feedings are up to his wife.
Aside from his full-time, he also makes video games. “I did make one video game 2 years ago but it honestly wasn’t that great. So while I do get revenue from it, it’s definitely not much or even a liveable wage.
“This time around however I’m working with 4 other people and the game is turning out great. After getting home from work, having dinner with my fiancé, and looking after the baby for a while, I jump on and work on the game.”
The husband went on and said that he had been working up on the new game until 2 am.
“I snore like a maniac when I’m tired. It’s super embarrassing because I truly sound like a mack truck,” he continued.
“Yesterday the baby had her 2 months shots and she was so fussy. Cried way more than normal. It was super hard for my fiancé to get her to sleep.”
When he finally went to bed, his wife asked him to sleep on the couch so he wouldn’t wake their baby with his snoring.
But the man said no and told her that he was exhausted. “The couch is not comfortable at all. I had to work early. I wanted to sleep.”
His wife just called him a f****** pr**k and left the room with their baby.
“I woke up this morning to the baby in the crib in the nursery and my fiancé asleep on the floor with no pillows/blankets. She still won’t talk to me,” he added.
Reddit users were quick to share their thoughts on the matter, with one person saying: “You’re the a**hole… so much you’re the a**hole. Unless you want to be paying child support with your hobby, then you need to step the fuck up and be a man and a parent and support the woman who is keeping your child alive. Wow…just f**king WOW!”
Another said: “You are so much the a**hole that I am furious on her behalf. It’s a choice for you to stay up late working in this game. It’s not your primary income, it might become something or it might now but it’s a choice. You know you snore. Your wife is right, you are a p**ck. You should be ashamed.”
