A devastated husband who discovered that his wife slept with 26 different men has revealed that he wanted to get payback by sleeping with the same number of women.
Sharing his story on Reddit, the father-of-two said that he and his wife started dating in secondary high school. They went to separate universities but he ‘tried to see her almost every weekend.’
He thought that their relationship went well until he recently went to a party with some of their mutual friends and reminisced about their college days.
“One of her friends let it slip that she was wild at university. I almost missed it but when I looked over at my wife, her face was pale, and she was giving her friend ‘the look,’” he wrote.
“I decided not to make a big scene of it at the party or while we were driving home, but she could tell something was wrong by the way I kind of shut down after that.”
When they returned home from the party, he asked her again about what their friend had mentioned.
“She went back and forth a little before eventually admitting that she was heavily involved in clubbing during university and that had led to her having several hookups and even a few regular FWB [Friends With Benefits] situations but she maintained that she was just an immature kid back then so I shouldn’t hold it against her,” he continued.
His wife told him that it was ‘no big deal’ and that it happened before they got married.
“The fact we’ve been married for 18 years makes absolutely no difference to the fact that she is a cheater,” he added.
His post received hundreds of comments, with one person saying: “Just leave. No need to retaliate like that. Besides, it was along time ago. I would be more on board if it was while married.”
Another said: “Look bud, in any conflict with a partner, there are only two real possibilities – work it out or leave. Seems like you’ve made your decision. Do your kids a favor though, and don’t drag it out. Get in touch with your lawyers, and make your break.”
