Will Smith has taken his family to see Jay Shetty over the weekend as he got banned from the Oscars for the next ten years after he infamously slapped Chris Rock at last year’s ceremony.
The 54-year-old actor was spotted with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith as they posed with the life coach guru, Gammy Norris and Lauren London at the Love Rules show in Los Angeles.
“Jay will take the audience on a journey of finding, keeping, and even letting go of love,” a synopsis of the show reads.
“Including live meditations, experiments, and demonstrations, this will be an unforgettable and transformational evening,” it continued.
The Hancock star’s appearance comes after he was forced to give up the honor of presenting the best actor award to the 2023’s winner because of the ban.
Last year, the actor shocked the world when he slapped Rock on stage after he joked about his wife’s shaved head, caused by alopecia.
The performer made a joke that Jada was rocking a ‘G.I. Jane’ appearance. Smith was seen laughing at first before he stormed the stage and hit him in the face.
The actor then repeated: “Keep my wife’s name out of your f***ing mouth!”
A source said to People that Smith is ‘still remorseful’ over slapping the comedian at the 2022 Oscars and ahs tried to make amends with him but failed.
Rock recently joked about Will and Jada’s marriage as he addressed the infamous slap on new Netflix special, Selective Outrage.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Smith did not watch the show but he is aware of what the performer said.
“Will is embarrassed and hurt by what Chris said about him and his family in his Netflix special. He didn’t watch it, but he had people tell him what Chris said,” the source said.
“It’s everywhere when you look online and on social media, so Will and Jada have seen comments about it.”
