A young woman has spent a small fortune transforming herself into a human Barbie doll.
30-year-old Ophelia Vanity from Los Angeles, California, has spent more than $40,000 on fillers, beauty treatments, and implants that helped her look like a Barbie doll.
As the young lady revealed, she has no intentions of stopping whereas she wants to have four to six of her ribs removed and get breast implants to complete her look.
“I’ve always been into Barbie. As a kid, I’d get a doll every Christmas or birthday. I had a dozen or so and would play with them all the time,” Ophelia said.
“I loved her aesthetic, and as I got older, I decided I wanted to emulate her. She’s such an iconic character.”
Kicking off her transformation, the young lady and the former Goth enthusiast got her first Botox treatment back in 2009.
Seeing and adoring her bodily changes, Ophelia continued undergoing beauty treatments and procedures until they became a part of her routine.
“I have a full list of surgeries I’d like done, although I don’t have anything lined up at the moment. I’d love breast and bum implants, but I need to save money and make sure I find the right doctor,” she added.
“I’d also love either four or six ribs removed, like Pixie Foxx, a model who had the surgery a little while ago. I wouldn’t go quite as extreme as her, but aesthetically, she’s an inspiration.”
While she revealed that most people react positively to her looks and want to take pictures with her, Ophelia admitted that some people judge and bully her without even knowing her.
“There is a lot of cyberbullying out there. I’ve been called ugly or had people say I’m delusional for wanting to look like Barbie,” she said.
“I’m not hurting anyone, though. I know I shouldn’t put too much into these people hiding behind a screen, but I’m still human so it does hurt.
“I always ignore them. I know they just want a rise. If they really hated me, they’d look away.”
