A bearded woman has spoken out and hit back at trolls who called her dirty saying she loves her hairy face.
30-year-old Coral Renaie from Kansas has embraced her facial hair after spending years shaving her thick beard and worrying about what other people might think of her.
As the young lady explained, she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) early on in her life. It wasn’t until recently, however, that she stopped shaving her facial hair on a daily basis and ditched her razors for good.
While Coral admitted that strangers often make nasty comments or stare at her, she now feels beautiful in her own skin and loves rocking her 4-inch sideburns.
Stunned by her beauty is also her boyfriend, 25-year-old Illias, who allegedly doesn’t mind his girlfriend’s growing facial hair at all.
“It had been a really painful journey, physically and emotionally. One person thought I was dirty and would tell me to scrape my skin in the bath to get it off. It was the first time I really felt shame about my body,” Coral admitted. “It was the first time I really felt shame about my body. I felt like shaving was the only way I would survive.”
The 30-year-old continued: “In some ways, I feel like this is somewhat validated by the amount of hate I get online. They ask ‘what I am’ because somehow hair makes me not seem human, or if I’m a man or a woman.
“I get told that I need to shave – people love telling me what to do with my body. Others see my intentions and are supportive and kind.”
Coral concluded her message to the public saying she’s got many male followers who “seem to enjoy the view” while urging people to realize that the only thing that makes her different from the rest is her defiance.
“I love myself and that infuriates people,” she said.
