A woman has divided the internet after revealing she never splits the bill on dates because she believes the “time and effort” she puts in are enough.

24-year-old Ella Freimann from New York is a dating coach who advises fellow women to stand up for themselves and “never split the bill” during their dates.

According to the young lady, men who want their dates to pay for half of the bill “don’t value the time and effort” females put in to “look their best for their dates.”

Ella also said every woman should “know what she brings to the table” and accept nothing less than a man who is willing to invest in her.

“By splitting the bill, I’m agreeing to form a connection with a man who doesn’t know his role in a relationship and expects me to be 50 per cent of the man he’s not,” the influencer told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“I’ve learned that men who split the bill don’t value the time and effort a woman puts into herself to look her best for that man. 50/50 men don’t understand that the woman’s investment was made prior to the date.”

Ella further claimed that staying away from bills on her dates helps her keep her “dignity intact” while ensuring she “avoids bad experiences” with her potential love interests in the future.

“Most people think that we’re selfish, but I don’t think that’s the truth. A high-value woman knows what she brings to the table and expects the same in return,” she added.

“Another assumption is [that] we don’t work or we’re lazy, but a woman with high standards in dating always makes sure that the man is able to provide for both, in case she doesn’t want to work.

“I’ve seen women building their businesses and focusing on themselves while being provided for by a man. And we understand the value a woman brings to a relationship, such as emotional stability, nurturing qualities, and support.”
