A woman has gone viral on social media after she took to Instagram and called for a DNA test as believes she could be the missing British girl, Madeleine McCann.

Madeleine was only four years old when she disappeared without a trace while on vacation with her family in Portugal in 2007.

Despite countless police investigations and extensive searches, her body has never been found, and nor has the kidnapper.

According to German police who have arrested Christian Brueckner, it is unlikely that the girl is still alive.

But now, a woman has gone viral online for claiming that she could be Madeline McCann.

Taking to Instagram, the woman said she started wondering a few months ago if she was the missing girl.

“It was something that I heard from my grandma,” she said.

The woman said she’s 21 but her age could be wrong. If Madeline have survived, she would’ve been 19 years old now.

She said that among the evidence is a speck in her eye and a freckle on her leg in the same places as Madeleine’s.

She is now asking for help to get a DNA test to prove her theory that she’s the missing girl.

“Help me,” her Instagram bio read. “I need to talk with Kate and Gerry McCann I think I can be Madeleine. I need DNA test.”

The woman has gained more than 157,000 followers on Instagram.

It was in 2008 when a huge search for Maddie kicked off, with many people claiming to have spotted the child.

By 2016, it was revealed that there were ‘9,000’ reported sightings of the girl in 101 countries.
