A woman has opened up about her botched lip filler procedure and revealed that she was left unable to talk for two days.
As Emma from Kentucky revealed, she was excited to have her lips enlarged after finding a clinic that offered to do it for half less than their competition.
Without a second doubt, the young lady paid the clinic a visit only to suffer an extreme allergic reaction after getting filler injections.
As seen in her viral photos and videos on TikTok, Emma was left looking like a duck thanks to her thick and protruding lips.
This, however, wasn’t the worst of it. According to Emma, she was also left unable to talk for days while experiencing “the worst pain” of her life.
“It was very traumatizing but now that me, my boyfriend, my family, my friends look back at it, it’s pretty hilarious,” she explained.
“I wanted lip fillers for the longest (time) but I never got them done because I’m scared of needles, I’m terrified of needles, I don’t want anything to do with them.”
Emma also admitted that she got in trouble because of her stubbornness and refusal to listen to her boyfriend and family when they warned her about potential issues that could arise during and after the procedure.
“I should have known from the jump because I called three different places and all of them were like $700-$800. I didn’t want to pay that so I called them and it was $400 plus a $60 deposit or something and so that’s why I went there,” she added.
“They got it done it was the worse pain of my whole entire life – I never want to get it again just for that reason and the swelling. After I got it, it was perfectly fine, I loved them, then a couple of hours later it started swelling.
“I called the place, they said it was normal and not to worry about it. I called the hospital, I didn’t go because I’m hard headed, I didn’t want to go and get poked with more needles.”
Instead, Emma followed the advice of the hospital staff and took some Benadryl – a common antihistamine – to deal with the allergic reaction.
Days later, her speech returned and her lips shrunk.
Emma has since spoken out and warned other women to do their research and make sure they are not allergic to any substances found in filler injections before the procedure.
