A woman has raised eyebrows after saying that men should spend at least $200 for her presence on their first day.
Speaking on The Desirable Truth on TikTok, the unnamed woman shared her expectations for her first date and said a man should spend $200 for her. Even her friend was also shocked by her remarks.
She then explained why she expects men to spend $200 for their first date.
“I feel like if I’m going to get ready and I’m going to use all my products to come out with you, I need like a minimum of $200,” she said.
The host then asked what her date would receive in return for spending that much, and she quickly responded: “My presence.”
She then went on and itemized the cost of her beauty products, saying she bought eye cream for $300, serum for $30, and moisturizer for $400, in addition to other skincare products.
Many people took to social media and voiced their opinions about the woman’s comments, with one person writing: “I want no money from a guy. All I want is for him to be sincere and generous like taking me to McDonald’s. I know girls that just want that as well.”
Another said: “Guys get ready too and use product. They also bring their presence. Guess she should be dropping $200 too.”
A third added: “I wanna hear what her friends answers would be. She looks embarrassed by this girls answers.”
But others defended the woman’s decision to look for a man who is willing to spend $200 for their first date, with one person commenting: “That’s her standards idk why people make other peoples standards their problem.”
