65-Year-Old Woman Who Walks Three MILES To Work Every Day Receives NEW Car After Returning $15,000 Cash She Found


A 65-year-old woman who had to walk three miles to work every day for the last year after her vehicle broke down has been given a brand-new car after she returned a $15,000 cash she found.

Diane Gordon was walking home from work when she stumbled across a huge bag of cash.

She reportedly stopped at a gas station to warm up a little when she noticed the bag on the ground.

In an interview with WJBK, Gordon said: “I looked down on the ground and found a plastic bag with a large sum of money in it. When you turned it over there was even more money.”

The hardworking woman then went to the police station and handed over the money.

Lt. Matthew Ivory told the news outlet: “Inside the bag were also wedding cards, these were gifts from a wedding that occurred that day. I think it was $14,780 worth of cash.”

The owner of the bag of cash were a couple who just tied the knot.

Gordon said that she couldn’t make it to her grandchild’s sporting events because of lack of transportation but she never had second thoughts when she found the money. She knew that the right thing to do was to return it to its owner.

Ivory then said that one of the officer’s wives had set up a GoFundMe page for her to raise money to purchase a new car.

People touched by the story were quick to make donations, with the page raising more than $80,000.

“I am floored,” Gordon expressed. “I am having a hard time keeping it in. I am just so excited.”

The kindhearted woman intents to continue doing good deeds and she said that she is ready to offer rides to her colleagues who need them.
