Citizens from Texas are revealing their absolute fury after news regarding the removal of doors from the bathroom went viral.
According to local media reports, the principal from the Texas high school went on justifying the behavior, adding how it was done in relation to safety concerns.
To be more specific, the principal spoke about how the school wished to get a grip on the increasing number of cases involving students and the usage of drugs.
“We are very concerned about the behavior relating to a significant number of behavioral events,” the principal added.
“They keep on taking place and there are already so many that have gone on to occur this year,” the report went on to mention.
Christina Steele who is the head of Austin’s Travis Early College High School even sent out letters to all parents of the students admitted at the educational institution.
She explained the decision that would now be employed with immediate effect, adding how she felt that she perhaps could have done a better job at communicating her plans with the parents too.
The letter which was obtained by the station explained how the number of incidents involving students and their behavioral events was deeply concerning and the administration was doing everything in its power to conduct a series of violations that took place in these restrooms.
The letter particularly highlighted the surge in drug offenses which the authorities plan on controlling with this new measure of uninstalling doors at all bathrooms on campus.
In addition to that, the principal also spoke about how there have been no cases relating to these offenses, ever since the school went ahead and took down all the doors present at the bathrooms.
