Quality education is the right of all.
The universities and colleges have made sets of guidelines and have decided minimum percentage criteria for the selection of students which is a fair deal because there are millions of students out there and only the capable ones should get the chance.
Students work extremely hard to get themselves in such great colleges like Yale, Stanford, etc. There are several names on the list. But when rich parents try to get their kid in such a prestigious college by bribing, all the process does not remains legal and fair anymore.
Well in a recent scandal several of rich students who had tried to make in such prestigious colleges through bribing were caught.
Outraged by the same, thousands of students have filed lawsuits against these prestigious colleges for not giving a fair chance to all the students.
Other students sued the college because they think that by giving admissions to other students on the basis of money has reduced the value of their degree.
The universities that have their name in the scandals include Georgetown, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Southern California, the University of California, Yale, San Diego, Stanford, and Wake Forest.
The bribers trying to make their kids’ way in are some of the most renowned people of the country like CEO of multimillionaire companies, other wealthy people, and actors and actress including Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.
33 wealthy parents including these two actresses have paid William Singer, the admission counselor, who also runs a preparatory business for colleges, a massive amount $25 million in total.
District officials on the matter said that this is the largest college scandal they have ever uncovered and strict action would be taken against it. A case has already been filed against the parents and the students who were involved in bribery.
