Have you heard of the story where a bird raises another bird taking it as of its own? This culture is quite popular in humans and you can also find it in animals at times but such cases are rare to find in birds.
Birds are the creatures that according to humans, do not find much affection to other creatures but how true is that we will never know.
A photographer found such a story in his backyard. Looking at this story you will understand that love and affection is a capability of each and every creature present in this world. It might sound right out of a fairytale to you but this happened.
Laurie Wolf, who lives in Florida saw an owl living in his backyard’s tree in an owl hatchling. He lived alone for a long time but the photographer later realized that he is not alone but lives with a mate.
On closer look, he observed that the mate is a bright yellow bird. Well, the yellow bird was a duckling the owl was raising as of his own.
The photographer said “I saw the two birds and it was just too unbelievable to me. I saw them sitting next to each other and it appeared like they were more of humans. They appeared really comfortable around each other. It was not believable to me. It was just not visible.”
The photographer initially was concerned for the duck. He thought that the owl might end up eating the duck because of its predator nature. He then contacted the bird sanctuary staff.
The local wildlife sanctuary came to his place and agreed to take the bird to the sanctuary. They are taking care of the bird and it looks like it is going to have a happy life now.
