A pet owner has gone viral after sharing a family photo of her 17 cats and dogs that she made stand still in the living room while attempting to create an unforgettable portrait.
30-year-old Kathy Smith from Wales, UK, has admitted she’d been trying to get her pets to sit still for several days before finally succeeding.
After lots of patience and hard work, Kathy finally managed to get the perfect shot she was hoping for all along.
In her pet portrait, there are nine cats and eight dogs perfectly aligned on and around the sofa in the living room.
As Kathy admitted, she had to be patient and use lots of treats to get all of the animals to obey her and stand still.
The moment of tranquility, however, didn’t last long despite the animals looking relaxed in the photo. According to Kathy, the dogs and cats started running around and playing just seconds after her perfect shot.
“I was so thrilled when I realized I’d captured this shot – it’s like a little family photo,” the shop assistant explained.
“I love all of my pets so much so I was really happy when I managed to get them all posing together – despite it not being easy to do.
“I kept trying to get photos of the cats and dogs all together but some of them were always out of frame. The dogs will all sit for treats so that was easy enough, but the cats were another matter.”
The 30-year-old lives in a 3-bedroom house where she takes care or rescue pets in need of a home. Besides her cats and dogs, she also has several fish and a hedgehog in her care.
“People are usually shocked when they come over and realize how many pets we have, the house is mad but we’re used to it. They all run around and you don’t realize there’s a lot of them until they’re in one room,” Kathy added.
