Paige Turley revealed her ex Lewis Capaldi congratulated her for winning Love Island over text.
The reality star said that she had received a congratulatory message her from her ex, who is a hit singer. The two dated when they were just teenagers and since then they have remained good friends even though the relationship did not work out.
She told BBC “I text him actually congratulating him for his Brits.”
“He then texts me back. He congratulated me on my win on Love Island. It was good to get the text, I felt nice. But to be honest, I haven’t had the time to catch up with anyone lately.”
When she was questioned on what kind of relationship she shares with the singer, she said that they are still good friends.
For once, she was asked about her experience in Love Island and how did it felt to be called Lewis’ ex.
To this, Paige said it was weird. She added “Yes, it was weird but on the other hand, I did not mind it too much because I had known him since he was not a star. He is Lewis to me. He has always been Lewis to me, not some superstar with a superstar attitude. It is normal.”
While Paige won the show with Finn Tapp, at the same time as Lewis received the Brit Award. Lewis said that the song “Someone You Loved” that everyone is talking about is NOT at all for Paige.
He said that the song was not about his ex-girlfriend who the world can see on Love Island but is for his grandmother who he loved with all his heart and who passed away recently. He wrote the song in her memory.
