Buckingham Palace will launch an investigation into claims that the Duchess of Sussex bullied royal staff.
Meghan accused the newspaper of being “used by the Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative” about her as she denied the claims.
The Palace confirmed that the HR team will “look into” the allegations, adding it “does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace,” the Daily Mail reported.
“We are clearly very concerned about allegations in The Times following claims made by former staff of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” a spokesperson said.
“Accordingly our HR team will look into the circumstances outlined in the article.”
The spokesperson added: “Members of staff involved at the time, including those who have left the Household, will be invited to participate to see if lessons can be learned.
“The Royal Household has had a Dignity at Work policy in place for a number of years and does not and will not tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace.”
Meghan said The Times is being “used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative based on misleading and harmful misinformation” about the way she treated Pas after former aides accused her of “emotional cruelty and manipulation,” leaving them “shaking” with fear and reducing them to tears.
Her attorneys said she was “saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.”
