When you think of working for others, you only wish to bring happiness to their life and in yours too.
Who would think that working for a great cause like raising money for charity for the kids who are suffering from cancer will result in something so terrible for this paramedic?
Daniel Mansbridge, a paramedic who was not on duty while he was in a bike ride to raise charity, was beaten up hazardously by a group of teenage boys.
Danial had participated in a 1,000 km long bike ride to raise money for charity.
He started his ride and was on the bridge when suddenly a teenage boy on his bike came in front and he had to press the breaks as tight as he could.
This disturbed his balance and he fell off with a jump. He was not hurt much but he got up and was coming back to check on the boy.
Just right then, a group of about 10 teenage boys came and started hitting him. He had only covered 7 km by now and he was not really able to carry on anymore. They beat him up so bad that blood was dripping out of his face.
When he explained what had happened, the boys apologized to him and quickly called for an ambulance. In his left eye, he had an orbital floor fracture right at the bottom.
Surgery has been arranged for his eye in the coming week and for the same at Wollongong Hospital and for the same a fundraiser had been set to raise $5,000 to help him in paying the bills.
Police is now working on his case and are looking for at least 10 boys who had beaten him up.
