Oscar is a 2-year old Indian Ringneck parrot that is very human-like in his behaviors and just across the street, lives with his neighbors is a grumpy cat.
One day, when the neighbor’s hungry cat came in front of Oscar’s window, Oscar teased it with a game of peek-a-boo.
He repeatedly tempted the cat, appearing and disappearing through the window. Every time it came back after disappearing under the frame of the window, it squeaked peek-a-boo like a human.
While the cat was enticed with this activity, it certainly was not amused. It had a focused face and a low stance, which meant the only thing stopping the agitated cat from pouncing on the parrot was the window pane.
Nonetheless, Oscar was a clever parrot and seemed to enjoy the game from a safe distance.
Maybe he was not aware of the danger, but it looked like Oscar was really having fun, since this game between the two animals, went on for a long time. Parrots usually just mimic human speech.
However, Oscar also understood some of the words, which is what made shouting ‘peek-a-boo’ every time it reappeared that much more enjoyable for him.
