Passenger Got Angry After Seeing A Man With Paint On His Face As A Halloween Costume


A London Underground passenger slammed for painting his face black for a Halloween costume.

The man on the Central Line dressed up as Samuel L Jackson’s character Jules Winnfield from the 1994 film Pulp Fiction but a fellow traveler accused him of being racist as he painted his face black.

When he was confronted by the fellow traveler who accused him of being racist, he replied: ‘Why not?’

The incident, which took place on Saturday, was caught on camera by a 22-year-old make-up artist, Petra-Isabella Joli from East London.

Joli posted the video on her Instagram with the caption:

“People don’t always catch each other’s insta stories, so I thought I’d post this for more people to see. I was on the Central line going home last night, where I witnessed the disgusting disrespect of blackface shown from this Bulgarian man(He told her his country of origin).”

“ When confronted he claimed to have dressed up as @samuelljackson and responded saying “why not it’s a person he likes”? this is 2018 and you’re in London, don’t expect people to sit quietly and not confront you..”

One user said: ‘He should know the difference between appreciation and appropriation’ while another didn’t find it racist as the user commented: ‘People are so easily offended nowadays.’
