Traveling on a plan can be a little uncomfortable especially when the aircraft is completely loaded.
Passengers usually feel cold and they request for an additional blanket. But some people may feel too hot, and how do they solve this problem?
Open the plane’s emergency door!
A female passenger wanted some ‘fresh air’ as she felt ‘too stuffy’ so she decided to open the plane’s emergency exit.
The video, which has been viewed more than 18 million times in less than a day, was taken on Xiamen Airlines Flight 8215 at Wuhan Tianhe International Airport.
The flight was delayed for about an hour because of the incident which happened on September 23.
Crews had warned the woman and other passengers near her not to touch the lever of the door when they were assisted to their seats.
But the female passenger felt ‘too stuffy’ and decided to open the emergency door for some ‘fresh air,’ according to reports.
Flight attendants and other passengers were forced to wait in the plane as authorities turned up and arrested the woman for the offense.
It was revealed by Xiamen Airline Staff that the incident caused a one-hour delay as the emergency door was shut closed again and another round of safety inspections was carried out.
Authorities have yet to release the woman’s name or age. It is also not clear whether she faces a travel ban for what she did.
Earlier this year, 25-year-old Chloe Haines needed to be restrained by flight crew with help of other passengers after she displayed a ‘’catalogue of aggressive, abusive and dangerous behaviour.”
According to reports, Haines was removed from a Jet2 flight and arrested at Stansted Airport as she also opened the emergency door while shouting: “I’ll kill you all!”
