Asda has come up with Absolut vodka that is flavored as passion fruit.
The product is already available on supermarket shelves and costs £16 per bottle, which is £4 lesser than the other flavors.
The drink tastes sweet and tastes best when served with citrus fruits and loads of ice.
Despite being infused with passion fruit, the drink is quite strong at 40 percent ABV, which is similar to the straight vodka.
This is the reason it stands out of the flavor-mixed spirits like passion fruit gin as the fruit mix makes the spirits weaker by lowering the alcohol content in them but this remains strong.
The drink is available in 700 ml bottle which is available alongside the other flavors that the brand provides, such as raspberry, mango, and vanilla.
The strength of the alcohol and its size determines the units a drink has.
A standard glass of wine contains 2.1 units, a can of lager contains 2 units, a bottle of lager contains 1.7 units, a pint of high strength beer contains 3 units, a pint of low strength beer contains 2 units, alcopop contains 1.5 units and a single spirit and mixer contain 1 unit.
The original Absolut Vodka costs £15 and if you want to save money, you can go with it. SKKY offers a similar flavored drink at a cost of £21 for a 700 ml bottle, so even the Absolut version is way cheaper than that.
If we’ll go to a different brand, Glen’s passion fruit and peach vodka cost just for £14.
The drink is not available online so you have to head to an Asda store near you as it is exclusively available there.
A vodka shot typically contains 64 calories along with one alcohol unit and generally, it is advised to a limit of 14 units in a week.
