Jeffrey Epstein, the millionaire who was a sex offender had hanged himself in the prison cell.
The reports and the authorities say it was clearly a suicide but there is some new information coming in the light.
A forensic pathologist has said that his body shows no signs of suicide but homicide by strangulation.
Dr. Michael Baden, the former forensic examiner of New York City, in an interview said that the nature of Epstein is was subspecies as the man was found hanging with a lot of injuries on the 10th of August inside his cell in the prison.
Epstein’s brother had hired Dr. Michael who was present at the autopsy of the body.
He says that the findings point a clear finger at homicide by strangling rather than a suicide.
The pathologist said, “the findings we had on day one shows signs that were seemingly not like suicide and more like a strangling.” Baden says he had two fractures, one on the left, and the other on the right of his larynx, around Adam ‘s apple.
While the former forensic examiner of New York City says he sees signs of strangling, Dr. Barbara Sampson, Chief Medical Examiner of New York City says she is going to stand firmly behind her findings and her statements.
Sampson said in her statement, “Our findings tell us that the death occurred by hanging and the manner of the death was a suicide and I am going to stand by the report I and my team has generated.”
She added, “We have shared the required information with Epstein’s family, his relatives and the pathologist hired by the family. We have given whatever we had and got from the body and we highly do not have any requirement for running another autopsy and so the office is not demanding it as well.”
