Paul Rudd, 52, has revealed who his wife, Julie Yeager, actually thinks is the sexiest man alive.
The 52-year-old actor was voted as PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive this year, and he had been basking in his newfound fame ever since.
After Rudd received the news about his new “title” he told the magazine that he did have a hard time accepting the fact that he is sexy.
“I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I’d be picked for this, they would say, ‘What?’ ” the actor told PEOPLE. “This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me.”
Rudd, looking as young as ever, recently stepped put on the red carpet in New York for the premiere of the movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife, wherein he admitted that not only his wife not vote, but if she had, she would not even vote for him.
In a short interview with Extra, Rudd revealed that Yeager would have actually voted for The Matrix and John Wick actor Keanu Reeves.
“No, she would have voted for Keanu Reeves,” Rudd revealed. “Come on, he’s Keanu, I’d vote for him.”
Meanwhile, fellow actor Ryan Reynolds, 45, had a similarly hilarious reaction to Rudd being voted as the sexiest man.
Reynolds advised the Ant-Man actor to seize the opportunity instead of playing it ‘shy’ or ‘bashful’.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife features members of the original cast Bill Murray, 71, Dan Aykroyd, 69, and Ernie Hudson, 75, which Rudd said made him feel ‘a little nervous’, but also ‘excited’ at the same time.
“You look down and see those three guys standing there […] I still feel that,” Rudd said.
The actor also noted how it was ‘really exciting and an honor’ to work with the iconic Ghostbuster casts, however at the premiere, he declined to mention anything about his next project, which is Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantomania.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be available at cinemas on November 19.
