A horrifying incident in China was captured on camera.
A husky was seen being dragged from a motorcycle on a highway. The pooch was severely injured, sparking fury on social media.
The pooch was owned by the daughter of the man who was using the bike. Another person who recorded the incident which took place in Pu’er city said that the husky appeared to be bleeding as it was dragged on its belly.
In the video, the pooch can be seen being helplessly dragged across the highway as it tried to move its feet so it could get in the right position.
The husky can also be heard struggling and whimpering as it was being pulled by a leash. The heartless father ignored the dog’s plight.
The owner of the dog, the biker’s daughter, apologized for her father’s action after the footage went viral.
She told Daily Mail: “The dog was put under my family’s care as I had to work that day. Unfortunately, the elderly members of my family did not know how to take care of it properly. I am sorry. I didn’t take good care of my dog. I love it very much and I promise to take good care of it in the future.”
The daughter also assured people that she had taken her dog to the vet immediately after discovering what had happened.
The husky’s belly was peeled off and other photos make everyone squirm. The man who recorded the ordeal told the news site Pear that he noticed the dog while he was waiting for a red light.
“The lower part of its body was bleeding. It is possible that the dog was dragged for a long time,” he said.
One social media user said: “If you don’t want your pet anymore, just put it up for adoption. Don’t abuse it like this.”
Another wrote: “How can there be such a cruel person in the world?”
