Study Revealed That People Know When They Pass Away As The Brain Is Still Working

Chilling new research revealed that when people die, they know that they have passed away as the brain keeps on working.

Even after you have died, the brain is still aware of what’s happening around you.

Scientists who conducted the research talked to people who come back to life and many reported the same experiences: bright lights and sensations.

According to research, our consciousness goes on for a short time even after the heart stops functioning and the body lost its ability to move.

This means you are stuck in a body with a brain that is aware of what’s going on.

People who survived cardiac arrest also reported that they had been completely aware of what was happening around them even when they were actually ‘dead.’

Dr. Sam Parnia looked at cardiac arrest cases and consciousness and found that anecdotal evidence points towards individuals still experiencing things during the first stage of death.

“They’ll describe watching doctors and nurses working, they’ll describe having awareness of full conversations, of visual things that were going on, that would otherwise not be known to them,” Parnia told LiveScience.

Dr. Parnia of the NYU Langone School of Medicine said the accounts were confirmed by nurses and doctors who were left shocked after learning their patients remembered the details after being resuscitated.

But declaring someone dead “is based on the moment when the heart stops. Technically speaking, that’s how you get the time of death.”

That is terrifying as nobody wants to hear doctors declare them dead.
