Mackenzie Smith, personal fitness trainer, has been labeled as “arrogant” and “judgmental” for putting people down.
She is thriving at her age but starts to boast about how she started her own business at a young age, alongside going to the gym on a daily basis.
She is known to have 18,000 followers on Twitter, sharing how she actually feels amongst other people her age. Her mindset is what got her to this stage, she claims, while everyone else had “partied every weekend.”
In her tweet she states: “Most 23 year olds:
-partying every weekend
-eating fast food
-binge watching Netflix
-living day by day
Me:
-starting my own business
-optimizing my health
-learning new skills
-developing a growth mindset
-at the gym everyday
We are not the same”
Instead of the support that she had been expecting when releasing the tweet, it backfires on her as an influx of followers, and other Twitter users, brings her down for her ‘egotistical’ attitude, allegedly ‘bullying’ to other people by her wording.
Others claim that she was “knocking others down to build herself up” since there are many more other accomplishments than just being in the gym on a daily basis. Although her tweet backfired, the fitness trainer states that she was used to it, posting it so that it helps to “inspire” others.
The fitness trainer tells sources, “Ultimately, I’m secure in what I’m doing because I know my intent.”
The tweet became viral, with at least 7,500 retweets, likes, and replies.
Those who responded had their own thoughts, having taken offence from her own words.
Another user even commented ” Babe we’re a over a year into a global pandemic. Who the f**k is partying every weekend at this point,” in relations to her statement she released on Twitter.
The trainer tells sources that the reason she posts content is to “provide value, inspire, and help others. That’s the end goal. People will always interpret content to fit their own perspective on the world. They chose to be offended and lash out, so be it. That just means my content isn’t intended for them.”
