It isn’t just us who mourn for the loss of our loved ones; animals do too, albeit in their own way.
Just like this cat here.
The cat was mourning for its late owner, who died by jumping off the building. The owner was probably trying to save his life by jumping from the building but ended up doing the exact opposite. His building in Southern China had been engulfed in fire due to a gas explosion.
Not understanding as to why its owner would suddenly forget about it, it is waiting on his doorstep for its owner to respond.
After the cat refused to leave the house, some authorities had to intervene. The volunteers took the cat away to an animal care shelter, treated the wounds and put it up for adoption once again.
Four days ago, a blast took place at an apartment building in Changgang village of Nanning, and the cat was seen wandering in the balcony of the same apartment.
Many pictures of the anxious wandering cat have been shared on the Chinese social media platform, and that’s how people came to know about and help the feline.
The cat was brought by the local animal rescue group, Nanning Stray Cats on June 15 for the treatment. The cat named Engong had some burns on its limbs and nose, and its white coat of fur was burned to yellow.
Along with these visible injuries Engong, the cat showed some symptoms of lung infection (which is believed to be caused by the fire) and dehydration.
As soon as the cat gets completely well, it will be put up for adoption.
In the explosion, sixteen people were injured by the shards of broken glasses, concrete, and furniture. However, the police are still investigating whether the man was killed by accident.
