Ever fell prey to phone scammers? They get all the information from innocent people and then rob their money.
People have no idea how many ways of trapping these scammers use and they are also unaware of the consequences of scam calls.
They obtain all information about security and personal data and then people have to bear the brunt of these scam calls.
But it gets hilarious when people know that there is a scam call at the other end and they are asking for details. The same incident happened with Captain Ann Stephens from the Apex police department.
But the scammers had no idea that they were talking to a police officer. But Captin Ann gave a lesson to the scammers for next time.
US spam and scan gave a report in 2019 that every one out of six Americans has to lose money due to scam calls.
People do not easily get trapped in their calls but scammers use unique tactics as they ask for money by saying that their family members are in hospital, fake charity calls, lottery scams and so on.
But when scammers called Captain Ann and threatened to be arrested for trafficking substances. At that time her co-worker did an amazing job he turned on the camera so that they can warn people in the future to beware of these scammers.
The scammer asked for security details from Ann which she denied to give. They even demanded her home address. But the uproarious moment was that when Captain Ann asked them that if they have her file they must know all the details.
Even then scammer had no idea that he was talking to a police officer and when Ann denied giving details he threatens her that she is found to be guilty in fraud of $ 10 million and she will be jailed when a sheriff will come.
Things went funny when that person said that he is John Black from social security administration. Then after a second, he handed over the phone to his supervisor Officer brown. It looked as if they were playing with color themes.
Captain Ann laughed but she wanted to make a video to give a lesson to the general public that till how long these scammers converse. She advises the public that not to disclose any detail with scammers because they can use it for wrong purposes.
She even informs that no to respond yes for any question they ask because they might record your yes and can use it somewhere else. She made a useful video for the ones who have no idea to deal with scammers.
