Lundy, the Chihuahua, and Herman, the pigeon, came across each other at the Mia Foundation.
It is an establishment that takes care of animals suffering from birth defects.
Lundy is merely two-month-old and suffers from hydrocephalus. It is a congenital disorder that may cause severe brain damage in these small breeds. Due to this illness, the little one cannot use his hind legs and that makes it quite difficult for Lundy to walk.
The wild pigeon Herman came to the foundation after he suffered a severe injury, which almost cost his life. Since then, he became a resident of this shelter and enjoys cuddling with other creatures.
Soon Lundy also discovered Herman’s love for cuddling, and the little pup took full advantage of it.
The Mia Foundation recently shared a video of the bird and dog snuggling together, and it immediately went viral. People across the world are adoring this unusually adorable friendship.
Lundy was having difficulty adjusting to the new strange environment, but long cuddles with Herman are making him feel so much better.
The founder of this establishment explained the story of how these two creatures met. He set Herman on the dog bed before caring for Lundy. And then, he carefully put Lundy in the same bed as the pigeon.
Both the creatures immediately started interacting in a cute manner. And ever since then, they both have been inseparable. And Lundy and Herman spend a majority of their time cuddling up together in their blanket.
The dog only weighs one pound, which is very light even for a chihuahua. The foundation is grateful that he has found Herman, who keeps Lundy safe while the dog regains the use of legs and begins physical therapy.
Herman takes care of Lundy like a mother, and the staff at the foundation wonder whether or not Herman is actually a female pigeon. Irrespective of its genders, Herman is taking care of the little dog wonderfully, and they are two most adorable animals at the foundation.
