Pillsbury is one of the largest names in the world when it comes to bread and bakes.
We trust the companies and it looks like they are trying to keep our trust intact.
Recently, the contamination through E. coli has been on an outbreak and it looks like there is a possibility that the same element is present in some of the batches of Pillsbury bread.
Because of the same Pillsbury is calling back the batch of the bread they had already dispatched to the market.
The Food and Drug Administration have their doubts as they say that the latest product to be linked with E. Coli can be Pillsbury’s Best Bread Flour.
The company announced the recall last a week and since then 4,600 boxes carrying five pounds of Bread Flour has been taken down, away from the stores in about 10 states.
The states are Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New Hampshire, New York, and Ohio.
The batch that has been called back has the UPC code “051500200315” and the expiry dates of the packs are marked as 8th or 9th of June.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there have been 17 reports of cases of E. Coli that had spread through consumption of flour. Pillsbury is number three on the list of the companies that have called their flour back.
It is turning out dangerous each day because E. coli contamination is making a place in a new product each day. It is better to avoid flour for a few days until a solution can be found.
In the month of March, Pillsbury had called back 100,000 bags of flour from the market and the same has happened again. At least the company is paying attention to its product. But the best suggestion would be to avoid flour for a few days.
