Pitbull released a new song on Monday to lift people’s spirits amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The song is titled: “I Believe That We Will Win (World Anthem).”
The track opens as: “You know what spreads faster than any virus? Is fear / And when it comes to fear, you can either forget everything and run, or you can face everything and rise.”
“Let me tell you what I believe / I believe we will face everything and rise,” Mr. Worldwide raps.
“It’s not how you fall / It’s how you get back up / And what don’t kill us make us stronger / Boy, bet that up. Take a swing at us / You better hit hard / Because when we swing back / It’s like, oh God!”
During the song, the American rapper chanted the famous slogan that is often raised at sports events, “I believe that we will win!”
The teaser for Pitbull’s recent song was released a month earlier.
At the time, he addressed his fans, saying: “Let’s show the world how powerful it is when we come together to fight for one cause – that’s called life (I Believe That We Will Win).”
The Grammy winner announced that the proceeds of his new single will be given to the charities and organizations around the world to help them deal with the pandemic.
The video track for the new song has yet to be decided. However, Pitbull has stated that people from all over the world can be a part of it.
He has asked health workers, students, parents, and everyone to send a short singing or dancing clip along the music track if they want to appear in the future footage.
He said: “We believe that we can overcome. We are calling all students, medical workers, first responders, parents, grandparents, everyone from all over the world to be a part of Pitbull’s video anthem.”
