A playful mom dressed up as Pennywise the clown to prank her son after he refused to make her a cup of coffee.

While Hester Greeff’s 20-year-old son, Ruan Becker, was getting breakfast, she asked him to prepare her a cup of coffee before going for work. But the lad rejected his mother’s request, so the 41-year-old decided to make a plan to get even.

With the help of her boyfriend, 44-year-old Jannie Botha, Hester transformed herself into Pennywise using makeup and an old fancy dress.

The housewife then climbed into a trash bin at the back of their home and waited for her son to arrive.

Jannie asked the 20-year-old to take the trash out and when he lifted the lid to throw the rubbish, he was greeted his greatest fear.

Ruan dropped the bag and ran as fast as he could the moment he saw Pennywise, who was only his cheeky mom.

The hilarious moment quickly went viral on social media after it was posted on Facebook, where it gained over 1.7 million views.

“I was so scared, I didn’t know what to do. I absolutely hate clowns, I have been ever since I watched IT when I was nine years old,” Ruan shared.

“I had no idea they had planned anything so it was a complete shock. I didn’t see it coming as this is completely out of character for my mum.”

He added: “We never prank each other but this started with me not making her a cup of coffee. I could not believe it.

“The first time I watched IT, I had a nightmare the same night. The next time I went to a funfair I was chased by a clown for a joke and I just started screaming.

“I haven’t planned anything yet, but I will get my mum back.”
