Recently, plus-size models are getting more and more exposure in the runways.
The most famous of which is Ashley Graham who has been involved in a revolt against top fashion brands having limited sizes in their products. It seems that her revolution has somehow inspired confidence in plus-size women all around the world. One of which is Stephanie.
Together with her life partner Arryn, this young couple from Texas showed the world that love conquers all, including size.
Having a professional photographer as a friend certainly has its perks. To take part in the plus-size uprising, Stephanie decided to have a photo-shoot with her fiancé. Their friend Bria Terry of Wolf &Rose Photography took the pictures.
It was standard procedure for the company to post their works on their Facebook page. What happened next wasn’t something they’d expect. The photos almost instantly went viral.
Despite the photos being utterly bold and beautiful, it conveys a lot more to the audience. It shows unconditional love between the two, their similarities more than their differences judging by the matching tattoos, how proud they are with their relationship, and most importantly, the confidence Stephanie has with her body.
As the pictures took the net by storm, Stephanie’s steaming confidence drew a lot of positive comments from all over the internet most especially from her fellow plus-sizes.
“This makes my heart so happy and gives me hope as a plus size woman that not all men care about what size you are.” says one of the hundreds of comments.
Although Stephanie is a self-assured woman despite her size, she claims she wasn’t always like this. It was only lately that she finally and made peace with who she really is. And this was her time to shine and show that newly found confidence in the world. She couldn’t be more thankful to her friend Bria for such an amazing opportunity.
“Over the years, I’ve come to accept that I am always going to be considered plus-size. I push myself out of my comfort zone by wearing clothes that I love but aren’t in society’s mold of what is acceptable for bigger women, like crop tops, tight shirts, shorter dresses, and shorts. I walk around with my head high, smiling, and show no shame in myself.” she told HuffPost.
She couldn’t believe how strikingly captivating the photos turned out. “I honestly have never felt more attractive. . . I was shocked. I look so in love and confident. Every person should be able to see themselves in that light. It is really eye-opening.”
Bria says working with the couple was an inspiring experience seeing how they loved each other.
So the poses they had them do were as natural as it gets. She also made her statement with Healthline. “The connection they share is truly inspiring, even to me.It has always been my hope as a photographer to show people the beauty that they hold, and I feel like I’ve done this here.
I am a firm believer in love, size, race, religion, and sexuality are all things that are at times used to divide us, but at the end of the day, we all just want to be loved.I think that’s why these photos have become so popular.
Above all else, you can see the love that this two share. ”This is truly an amazing collection. When it comes to love, size still matters, the bigger the heart, the better.
